Bernie the Bug Man:

We had a guest speaker/visitor to learn about integrated pest management in and around gardens. Bernie from Full Circle Farm in Vassalboro came and provided hands on sessions with students in grades K-8. This program is sponsored and made possible by Maine Ag in the Classroom.

Students in grades 6-8 headed out on the water for an afternoon of paddling and learning about water safety. We even took out a couple of the Rangeley style wooden boats that were generously donated by the Outdoor Heritage Museum located in Oquossoc.

During French class, students in grades 3 & 6 enjoyed a presentation put on by their classmates about their recent trip to Paris and London.

The presentations were extremely thorough and interesting. Classmates truly enjoyed it and had many questions for them. A great deal of learning took place on their visit to these historic and beautiful cities, and it was wonderful to see them share what they learned with their classmates. Great job!

Grade 2 students helped unload a 14 foot cardboard tube that will be used by students in Art as they construct scarecrows. Students had to work together to figure out how to get this tube inside the school and navigate corners. There were definitely some giggles!

Fun in the sun!

Some candid photos of students outside at recess enjoying the beautiful weather. Students have been enjoying the mud kitchen and have been “cooking” up a storm! Many students also enjoy playing soccer while out at recess!
